Construction Management
Forerunner Corporation is proud to introduce their enhanced and professional Construction Services department in Durango Colorado. These services include but are not limited to:
Construction Management:
Construction managers should be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They should be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays. The ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems, is essential, as is an understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings. Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating also is important. Good oral and written communication skills also are important, as are leadership skills. Managers must be able to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and craft workers.
Forerunner believes that any given project not only includes specialized engineering services and excellent design drawings, but also demands strong, skillful and professional management to ensure the client receives an efficient and effective proven design through construction, start-up and operation.
Our Construction management will include the highest caliber of professionals qualified for the client’s project based on Project Management Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, Safety Management, and CM Professional Practice which includes specific activities like defining the responsibilities and management structure of the project management team, organizing and leading by implementing project controls, defining roles and responsibilities and developing communication protocols, and identifying elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
These managers coordinate and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction, making sure that the project gets done on time and within budget. They often work with owners, engineers, architects, and others who are involved in the construction process and the construction managers oversee the planning, scheduling, and implementation of those designs.
The construction manager offers advice, uncolored by any conflicting interest, on matters such as:
- Optimum use of available funds;
- Control of the scope of the work;
- Project scheduling;
- Optimum use of design and construction firms' skills and talents;
- Avoidance of delays, changes and disputes;
